Money is not the root of all evil. The LOVE of money is the root of all evil. And while some churches go overboard, there are some that do good. And they have bills to pay just like every one else.
1Ti 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

The LOVE of money is the root of all evil. If you're going to quote scripture you should make sure you quote it accurately. Churches have bills to pay just like you & I do. They have to pay for the building, the land, the equipment. They use electricity. They use water. They pay for nursery workers. They send missionaries to foreign countries. They also pay their employees - just as any other company does. Would you expect them to work for free? Would you expect that from any other company? This is God's work. Churches are following God's word to preach the gospel. It takes money to run a church. My church doesn't beg for money. It does however tell me that it is Biblical for me to tithe. What kind of church would they be to overlook that scripture for fear of stepping on a few toes? I'm not so naive to think it doesn't require money to run a ministry.

Churches don't beg. In the bible it says you are suppose to give %10 of your money and you will be blessed with a in a bigger way. They give the money to a charity or use it to help a poor familys at the church.

i remember that priest's have what they call "vow of poverty".
So they aren't needing the money for themselves, but they do need the money for the maintenance of the church, and so on. Food is also important for us right? They buy food out of the money they collected. And btw, money isn't the root of all evil..I think it's the WANT of money..money can be used for good things too you know... ^-^

Coz Church stands on the dictum
: Dont "cross" the boss...................

Well Money is the root of all evil....agreed ....but evil is the basis for its counter terms like "good" coz the concept of goodness could have never emerged had "evil" not existed........So churches by the means of this evil money want to do some good for the society..............

It's the LOVE of money that is the root of all evil. Money itself is not evil at all. If you REALLY think about it, most of the evil that is caused in this world is from the love of money----robberies, burglaries, forgeries, extortions, drugs.......
