my ex dont have his either.because he felt he didnt need them because he had his 2nd divorce papers from his second wife.i call the city hall and other numbers and there no where the only papers they can find are the divorce papers from his second wife.i want to get married again but i cant because of these papers what can i do?i also contaced the lawyer who did the divorce.and he said he dont keep his records that long.

There has to be records of this somewhere. You said you contacted city Hall. How about the contacting the clerk of the court. I believe that is where you will find the record.

you have to physically go down to the court where you got your divorce and talk to the court clerk IN PERSON. Very rarely will they actually do a search while you are on the phone, they can't verify who is asking for the information. There might be a small fee for the search.

The lawyer who initially filed the divorce papers should be able to obtain copies for you with no problem ..... other than charging you a "small" fee. Hopefully, he will do this out of client consideration and just charge you the fee he was charged for copies.

File a Police Complaint for loss of Document and get the second marriage registered.

go to the court house where you file they are on film and you have to look them up by date and name then you need to order them they are there trust me good luck
