I know this might sound pathetic but I just bid for a car on ebay and i won the bidding. I am legally obliged to pay for the car but If i dont, what are the laws on this issue? What happens if i dont pay and the seller lodges a complaint to the police or to ebay for example....help please!!

FAILURE TO PAY MAY RESULT IN YOUR E-BAY ACCOUNT SUSPENDED OR CANCELLED AND A FINE OR PENELTY, NOT TO MENTION A NEG. RESPONSE TO YOUR PROFILE.....GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR DECISION

Read e-bay motors policies. You can retract your bid and if the vehicle is not as described you don't have to purchase it. Don't ever send more than you are willing to lose as a deposit. (couple of hundred)
E-bay motors also has a buyer protection plan up to 20,000. The seller is not going to sue since they would have to find you first, you the most they will do is leave negative feedback. This is not a marrage propossal. If you tell the car salesman that you are going to purchase the car and even sign the papers to run your credit to secure financing does not mean you are obligated to purchase it plus there is the standard buyers remorse.
