I know this might sound pathetic but I just bid for a car on ebay and i won the bidding. I am legally obliged to pay for the car but If i dont, what are the laws on this issue? What happens if i dont pay and the seller lodges a complaint to the police or to ebay for example....help please!!

Well, it will depend. Here is the site on Ebay that tells you about retracting a bid.

Here is the page for the Buyers about it:

Hope this helps you!

Hmmm. While I don't know the legal ramifications, have you tried contacting the seller, letting them know that you can't honor your bid and you're profusely sorry (maybe explain your situation - just hope that it's an empathetic person), perhaps you can reimburse them for the seller fee they had to pay, and then they can notify eBay themselves so that they don't incur fees (you'll probably get kicked off eBay but who cares)?
