I also noticed that if the laptop gets too hot, it shuts itself down also.

A few potential issues that I can think of: 1) video drivers need to be updated. 2) failing RAM. 3) game not compatible with video chipset.

It very well could be overheating. Generally failing ram and watching videos isn't going to make it shutdown, it would most likely just freeze up. Same thing if you went to go play a game. Does the laptop feel warmer then usual on the underside?

After re-reading your post I am going to say almost without a doubt that is overheating. Check to see if you processor fan is still working. Also get a can of compressed air and blow into the bottom where the vents are, as dust could be keeping the laptop from cooling effiecently. That and I highly recommend looking into a notebook cooler, seeing how they are relatively cheap ($20-30) and can help out a LOT with hot laptops.

You have a dust ball in the air plennum / radiator between the Fan and air exhaust. The CPU cannot get cool enough.

When you do intensive CPU work, like games, the CPU gets the hottest, and then the auto-shutdown occurs because the temp exceeds the bios or built-in setting.

If you feel technical enough, you can take the case apart to remove the blockage, otherwise take it to a pc shop. Merely spraying air from a canned air gun into the fan opening may dislodge it, so you could try that first.

There can be numerous reasons for this. However, three common ones I know of causing PCs to reboot when viewing videos or playing DVD movies. New video card drivers, over heating, and bad power AC to DC converter.

Good luck.

there must be a worm that soon or latter gonna shut yer laptops forever'

it happened to me twice last 4 years ago, when MIRC is the fastest chatting zone to spread those worms...

ctrl+alt del go to systems, and find those funny name there, and del it..
go to http://symantec.com

and find those worms, fixwelchia.exe. if I not wrong...
*or search your laptop to find those worms with the antivirus.
dont forget to off your internet connection, and dont activate anything while you doing your searching or running the antivirus.
