Hi, for the past month my both of my eyelids have been swollen. Its not the actualy eye lid, but the area right underneath the eye brow. I have recently been on dexedrine, or dextroamphetamine, and maybe that is the cause of this. Yet i have been on adderall for a few months before and have not experienced swollen eyes. Ive tried putting ice on my eyes and water and everything, yet the swelling will not go down at all!

How can i get rid of the swelling and wat is it that is causing the swelling?
Thanks!

I am actually not allergic to anything that i know of, except for poison oak. I dont think it could be an allergy but maybe.

It sounds like an allergy. It could be due to your medicine, or a food, or even an environmental factor like dust, or a pet.

I'd consult a doctor for it. They can do an allergy test, and tell you what to avoid.

EDIT: You can develop new allergies at any time in your life. So, if it's been a while since you've been tested, there could be new ones.

I used to get styes all the time but they were always right around the rim of the eylid itself, and I do not recall them being as high up as the eyebrow area.
I don't know what it could be and I am not familiar enough with allergies or the prescription medicines you mentioned to know what effect they could have.
But it certainly seems like more of an allergic response to me.
I want to add, this is something which should be evaluated by a physician. It would be the wisest choice.

it could be a stye. if it hurts then it's not allergy or medicine-induced. if it hurts then it could be a stye.
