Hi I m VJ ,I am an engineer recently moved to UK and working for one of the best company here , I was totally unaware of the opinion the rest of the world possess regarding India and Indian people, to be honest it’s not really good .I feel proud to say I am an Indian for the conference and meeting I attend but end of the day one cannot deny the fact that India is just one of the third world country ,every time I receive mail from my friend there is every attempt made to portrait the best picture of India and try to subside the fact of India , I do believe there were intelligent people in India and there are .
The people are quite clever to outline good policies but when it comes to implementation it is absolutely big ‘O ‘. Here for all the activities we do there is always a method statement which explains how to achieve the task and possible failure that may be encountered.

The root cause of failure is corruption and one can do very little if this is not uprooted from the system. It is so blended in the system like milk in tea.
There is no sign of corruption in UK, it doesn’t mean all the people are rich and neither it depicts most of them are unhappy as far as government office, system and administration is concerned. Everything is clear and transparent. However in India most of the things are done behind/below the desk.
What makes me pissed off more is the corruption is more in infrastructure developing sector, which can be called as backbone of any developed country.

What we need b4 2020 is complete eradication of corruption , which is like foundation of structure to stand for years, and all other things are just superficial if this issue is not tackled b4 it is too late.

By the year 2020 India would have definitely advanced better than what it is today but not as expected. Poverty line will continue to exist and millions will continue to remain homeless and with out adequate food and clothing.
Better not to imagine a river of milk and honey which is quite far and reachable in another fifty or sixty years.

For becoming most successful country in the world our country has to change a number of things like:
- Attitude for life, business and environment- we have to shed tolerance and be sensitive to these factors;
- Improvement in honesty levels of the masses;
- Curbing curption at all levels;
- Improvement in skill and training of human resources;
- Absorption of new technologies for reducing the cost of production;
- Concept of value addition will have to be understood by one and all;
- Respect for Human rights and religious tolerance;
- Energy security needs to be ensured;
In short we can say that we are to align ourselves with the positive things and distract away from the negative things.

well first of all, define 'suscessful'. what is the most successful country in the world? there's a lack of measurement in this. Without a doubt, technology, social welfare, literacy, etc are big factors that come in play. but i dont think we can discuss this issue without refering to the economy. off the top of my head, while maintaining an increasing GDP per capita, the distribution of wealth is going to be an hot issue for your government and also to avoid the catastrophical impact of an overheating economy, your central bank need to keep inflation in check. Right now the economy seems to be very volatile compare to your neighbour China, and that harms your country's competitiveness.

With out improvement in the economy any of the desirable results are not possible. We should do mainly things which can improve our economy. Those will automatically help in other fields too.
