No current player on the tour will ever be No.1 while Federer is healthy and regularly playing. It is also extremely unlikely that a young player will mature during Federer's career who will be anywhere near as good as Federer. A healthy Federer will be No.1 forever!

Rafael Nadal/Andy Murray/Richard Gasquet/Thomas Berdych all have the best chance because those four are all young, in the top 20, and all have beaten Roger Federer in the past 2 years. They have proven they can beat him, but they may have to wait another year or 2

I've followed James Blake for several years, I think he's one of the few that could take a few matches from Federer, but I dont' think anyone can take the No 1 spot from him

our number two guy, nadal.

even though i only root for andy roddick, i don't think andy could be number one again in front of federer.

nadal is the only one all last year who beat federer in one of the opens. and i still think nadal has a slim chance of even trailing federer by only 200 points by the end of the year.
