What kind of clothing should I wear to an interview at a "minimum wage" job.
i.e.: If it's at some sort of store, if it's at a hotel? And if I have an interview at a clothing store, should I wear their items or does that look pathetic to them?

I wear a good suit. I do not mean a Brooks Brothers. Go to Nordstrom for ideas and go to Nordstrom Rack to buy. Why spend a lot of money.

In my own view, I think you should be properly dressed when going for an interview, if the job is minimum wage job or in a clothing store, wear a neat clean black suit. Dark suits and white shirt or top are very good for an interview, brings out the best in you. Makes you look smart and that is key for any interview, your appearance matters a lot.

General rule:
If your future job does have to do with meeting clients then wear a suit or at least a shirt and suit pants. This is also required at a job when you don't actually met the clients but the clients come every day at your future workplace and they can meet you by mistake.
If your future job it's a more intellectual one, as a programmer, just wear casual clothes.

if its more business type, wear something that is bold. don't have ur hair in your face (bangs back). try to be chic yet still sophisticated to show you do have style. at a clothing store, wear something they would sell because what you wear is basically what's going to represent their store.
