i live in orlando and have friends in jacksonville -- jacksonville is more like the old south than most of the south -- it is kind of scary. the malls have dress codes mostly to keep the black kids out. i have never seen so many "gated" communities in my life. everyone locks themselves in and tries to oppress everyone else. i went out in my normal clothes and a friend told me i should be more conservative. ck is too liberal for the place i guess. orlando and jacksonville were both in the top 10 angriest places in the in united states. orlando won though.
on the plus side amelia island and fernandina beach make for a nice weekend getaway.

i've been to the part where discrimination still occurs. Sad to see this, especially in a city like jacksonville.

the crime rate is at an all time high, yesterday there were 3 rapes and 2 murders. if you go outside you must be on the lookout. if you have children- this is the city with the most pedophiles in the U.S., at least that is what the statistics say. just be careful so you will not become a victim.... you are always welcome to live here.
