There is only one way to get a sum of 36 which is if all of them come up 6.

The odds are 1 / (6^6) or 1 out of 46656

You need all 6 dice to show a six. Each is independent and has a probability of 1/6 of getting a six:

Therefore, getting a 36 is
P( a six on each of 6 dice ) = (1/6)^6

Note that it doesn't matter if you roll one die 6 times or six dice once.

Probability of getting one 6 is 1/6
Probability of getting six 6's is 1/6 * 1/6* 1/6* 1/6* 1/6* 1/6 = 1/46656.
