I heard it back in the summer of 2003 or 2004

It was sung by a female country music artist, not sure of the name

The song was about a daughter who passed away

If anyone could be of any help please do, I lost my daughter back in 2002, and it reminded me of her.

If you know what song it was, or you even think you know, please post it, and please tell me where I can either sample the song, or download it for free.

Thanks

my only guess would be "Landslide" covered by Dixie Chicks, but that's a shot in the dark, and it wasn't about a daughter passing away, but about getting older, so you're probably thinking of some other song. "Landslide" was originally by Stevie Nicks(Fleetwood Mac) and was also covered by The Smashing Pumpkins. Some sample lyrics: "time makes ya older even children get older and I'm getting older too... I climbed the mountain I turned around...." To sample the song for free simply look it up at Amazon.com and listen with media player, to download the complete song for free, first download LimeWire program from limewire.com, then search the song, download it to your computer and play it. I only suggest doing this if you have security features on your PC/Mac. Good Luck.

I don't know the answer to your question, but not for nothing and assuming you find it... can't you at least PAY for the song that reminds you so much of the daughter you lost?

Does anyone compensate music artists anymore?

I know this is not the song but only one I can think of is called "The Little Girl" by John Michael Montgomery. It was a song about a neglected child. Great but terribly sad song.
