I believe football should come down some, and baseball, basketball and hockey should go up. Also sports like hockey and baseball are better in person for most people. So if this was a survey for watching on TV that would explain the low numbers.

I think people are way hyped up because of Superbowl season yes. However, it is by far my fave sport to watch. I enjoy watching different things live than on T.V. , and playing some rather than watching. For example, I LOVE watching Football and boxing, I like to watch baseball and gymnastics and figure skating on T.V., I would rather see hockey live as well as soccer and basketball. And, I LOVE playing golf but would never watch it on TV

I have to imagine women got interviewed too that's why figure skating ranks high.

Boxing is in bad shape cuz the idiots do it pay per view. How are you gonna like watching a sport that ...well you can't watch that often cuz u have to pay an arm and a leg for?

Also, this survey was done in the US cuz.. soccer ain't a 3% anywhere else inthe world i tell ya.

Your qusetion about the time of year is very valid. Aside from my opinions on what to watch and having taken satistics papers at school you would need to look at when the poll was taken, how it was conducted and if it was random. I'm sure if you search for other polls you would find very different results. Imagine conducting the poll in Vegas around the time of a big fight. I'm sure you would see a very different outcome.

I think from Soccer down there is a certain art form that you have to appreciate about the sport. The others you can just sit there and watch dumbfounded.
