As a Melbourne Supporter , I just have to say that I really Like Nathan Buckley

I dont really know for what reason you ask the question, because it doesnt really matter if they are winning. However Nathan Buckley is Collingwood's best PLAYER even given his age etc., he is the clubs longest serving captain and the only current Brownlow Medalist on the list. Next in line would have to be James Clement, because of his consistency, followed by current Copeland trophy winner Alan Didak. Those 3 players numbers total 17 , which is Burns, so he is next,and then I dont think you can go past Ben Johnson. If you want the most Dissapointing, through pure potential,I think Anthony Rocca wins that award easily!!

Buckley is a superstar even as age creeps up on him he has exceptional ball skills and can pin point a kick like no other! But on the other hand he cant win a game on his own it takes a team and frankly I dont think any team can have one "best player". They all contribute to each other and while some of them shine a bit more than others its only because that week their opponent made them look good, or another player was feeding the ball to them or what ever- so I dont like the concept of any player being the best player. Having said that there are players that I admire and at the top of the list are Buckley, Clement, Didak, Thomas.

Of the modern players, Buckley stands out. Players don't win the Brownlow unless they deserve it and that applies to players in even the most hated teams in the competition - like Collingwood.

how i have been waiting for question like this-1 comes in mind like Darren Millane -another like Gavin Brown-another Craig Kelly -obviously Nathan Buckley-Daicos- another is Bob Rose -Tony Shaw-David Cloke ,how many more can i write about???????????????????????????? its difficult really as there are so many and not many with Brownlow either except Bucks too.very hard 1 hey but awesome question ,thanks hope i helped you out ,my pick would be--------------------Darren Millane but all the rest come bloody close as ive met all them except Bob Rose and have pictures with gavin brown ,craig kelly and signatures from all the rest,cheers westy
