I actually do not know the answer. I would like a clear well thought out answer from people who wish to reply. I'd be willing to extend the question for people to think about it. To really think about it. The answers can be very long or very short I don't mind. I will read all. I'd like to learn what the opposing side thinks. All I ever get is rush limbaugh and jerry falwell screaming their opinions. What I'd like is a true clear and concise answer without the hate splattering everywhere.

And please don't refer to me or my opinions. I'm not stating my opinions here. I want the opinions of the other side. And a reason for your opinions would be really great. Thanks guys.

Well.. here goes.
Health Care
Should be handled by individuals. The only thing the government should do is address the lawsuits that are driving costs up.
The Environment
We don’t need to freak out over something that humans play a very minor part in. We should Invest in alternate energy sources ( wind, water, nuclear ) on a far larger scale than we are, but
That’s more because of our need to become more independent in energy.
Social Security/Medicaid
It’s something that should never have been created, but now so many people are dependant on it We’re stuck with it. People should be able to opt out of it as long as they’re putting the money Into some kind of retirement plan.
Woman's Issues
I’m not at the “abortion is murder” level, but the rate which it is being done does just seem.. wrong. And certainly it should not be allowed for minors without parental consent.
Minority Issues
Special treatment and advantages for minorities needs to end now. They’re capable of competing Based on their own merit.. so let them.
Immigration (Legal and Illegal)
Legal immigration should be restricted to people in high demand / high skill areas which cannot Be filled by American workers.
Illegal immigration needs to be dealt with on several levels. The people who hire them need to face huge fines and jailtime. We need to eliminate anchor babies. We need add additional penalties for illegals who engage in crime here. A border fence would be costly and not overly effective, we should just remove their motivation for coming here.
Foreign Policy
I don’t think we talk to our “enemies” enough. While we cannot let Iran ever finish their nuclear weapons.. we should talk to them more. If nothing else comes of it.. we can at least look like we tried. This does not apply to terrorists, who should be killed wherever and whenever we find them.
Jobs and the Economy
Free trade is killing us. The American worker cannot compete with somebody who is willing to work for 1/20th the wage in a country that has no environmental or health expenses.
Taxes
There should be a flat tax. No deductions and no exceptions and no loopholes.
Religion in Politics
Has no place in politics.
The Armed Forces/ The Draft
We do not need a draft right now. The volunteer military is doing just fine.
Schools/ School Funding
I’m all for schools and funding them.. more than we do now.
The Media
We have too many governmental controls over it. In short the media should tell us what they’re going to show.. and if it is something that is going to offend us or our children.. we can turn the channel.
Weapons/ Gun Control
I’m for realistic gun control, that accepts the fact that criminals don’t obey laws.. and so laws will have little to no impact on the crime rate. We have the technology to imbed biometric locks into firearms and put identification markers in bullets. Those I’m all for.

Health Care.. Cheaper plans available for private citizens, but no universal healthcare.
The Environment.. Reduce our dependence and use of fossil fuels.
Social Security/Medicaid Try to insure it's there when our people need it.
Woman's Issues..No opinion.
Minority Issues.. Abolish the Naacp. They want equal treatment then stop using organizations like the Naacp to gain preferential treatment.
Immigration (Legal and Illegal) We should strengthen the border and begin deporting illegals.
Foreign Policy .Strenghten ties with our allies.
Jobs and the Economy.. Stop the outsourcing of American jobs
Taxes..Tax breaks for the poor and middle class and small business.
Religion in Politics..Keep the 2 separate
The Armed Forces/ The Draft ..I don't feel a draft is necessary..but mandatory Military service would probably help this country.
Schools/ School Funding..Give everyone regardless of race or social status the opportunity for a decent education.
The Media...Just wish it wasnt so biased..
Weapons/ Gun Control... Allow every law abiding citizen the right to keep and bear arms. Do away with these stupid bans everywhere.Everyone should have the right to defend their home and family.

Well not a republican but im mostly conservative. so...
Health Care - perhaps preventative care for everyone would be good such as your checkups and so forth. I think open market ran insurance provided by employer or personally paid for for higher levels of care. Crack down on pharmaceuticals for bleeding the USA for its money and selling their drugs cheap everywhere else. it should be the same.
The Environment - There is more forestation in the USA now than in any time in recent history. Not a single city in the USA is in the top 25 polluting cities. The hotspots of pollution in the world are not in the USA at all.
So alternative energies is what we should work on producing. thechnologies are already there we just need to implement them.
Social Security/Medicaid - Put it back into a separate fund that cant be tapped into and borrowed from by the general fund.
Allow personal investment alternatives as that is what congress does. they dont pay into SSI.
Woman's Issues - what womens issues? abortion?
edit: Abortion cannot be illegal. If a womans life was in danger from having a baby I cant believe some peopel would not want to allow to abort. I do think that before abortion a requirement of being made aware of all options in an unbiased manner should happen. I think women should be held to same standards and given the same pay for the same work.
Minority Issues - used to be it was the white man segretating. Now the minorities want to be segregated. everyone is equal in my eyes until they prove differently. affirmative action isnt helping anything do away with it. but still prosecute discrimination.
Immigration (Legal and Illegal) - guest worker program good. eliminate anchor baby law, eliminate all benefits to illegals except emergency lifesaving care.
Foreign Policy - We need to contribute our part to help out others in times of disaster. We should continue to fight terrorism. Other countries dont want us as occupiers though. We need to tread carefully in lingering anywhere in the world.
And the UN we should mostly ignore.
Jobs and the Economy - Well a flat tax rate would stimulate the economy. I think we need to quit sending jobs overseas or hiring illegals.
Taxes - Flat income tax with little to no loopholes
Religion in Politics - Just as it started. Follow whatever religion you like and dont tell other people what to believe. No reason to even worry any more about it.
The Armed Forces/ The Draft - Not sure what you are asking here. are you asking if we should have a draft?
Schools/ School Funding - we all work , well most do, on a performance based system. I think the current plan with vouchers added can only improve things.
The Media - well its not governments position to control the media. I do think that they do need to keep the media from interfering ( leaking ) confidential info though. There need to be penalties to whoever provided the information to the media. and the media shoudl be required to say who gave it to them or be penalized.
Weapons/ Gun Control - Just as the constitution is you have the right to bear arms. Unless you are a felon or deranged.
could write alot more but thats a big big post as it is.

Long question and late but I'll give a shot to give quick responses. By the way, no one is 100% conservative or liberal so people in the same party line will disagree on certain issues.
Health Care: This is a service, plus with government regulation come loss of freedom. With the government involved you don't get to choose your doctor or hospital. Freedom comes with responsability, responsability to know how to take care of yourself.
The Environment: Got to clean up our act and truth be known we have been getting cleaner. This is such a complex issue with so many variables that it is hard to really talk about.
Social Security/Medicaid: Needs major overhaul and truthfully if I were in charge I would drop people from it. You now have generational welfare. There are families who believe it is their right to be taken care of by the government. This was meant to be a temparary program and it is so mired by beuracracy that it is a nightmare just to look at.
Woman's Issues
Minority Issues Honestly I personally have no oppinion on these subjects.
Immigration (Legal and Illegal): legal, no problem, illegal, they have to go. Right now 2% of our population is illegal, they comprise 24% of our prison population. There is an obvious problem.
Foreign Policy : Really too broad to talk about, I mean war is war, it should be fought to be won. Our friends are our friends, we should stick by them through thick and thin.
Jobs and the Economy: Free trade is stupid, with tarrifs we could offset cheap goods and keep our own factories competitive. Plus the revenues from that could be used to offset taxes being paid by regular working folk.
Taxes: Must be kept down with all means neccisary. There is no such thing as a temparary tax increase. If taxes are raised for a certain project, when that project is finished the government never repeals that tax, they use the money for something else. The government if given the chance will tax the regular working person to death and don't let th equote of the upper 2% fool you, the upper 2% cannot fund the country and they will get the money from who can pay, the middle class, the largest group to tax.
Religion in Politics: The seperation of church and state is just that, seperation of the curch and of the state. It is talking of entities not beliefs. Our founding fathers never wanted someone other than the elected official to have say in what happens. Such as we elect th eman, not the Pope. Now the government can be religious, they just cannot be a church. Such as our government is Judao/Christian and our laws reflect that. A large percentage of our population i sthat way as well, it is to be expected that they will want to practice their faith.
The Armed Forces/ The Draft: I support the draft myself. I think it would be good for the nation. The armed forces are our protection from the rest of the world and they deserve our total support. And it i san honor to serve and should never be looked at as a slight to have been in the military, appearantly this thought process has permiated some sectors of our scociety.
Schools/ School Funding: We must have education and on this I believe we should provide for the children. However, I personally think we are dumbing down the coriculem and making passing too hard. Way back when I went to high school we needed 16 credits to graduate. Of course the classes we had were pretty intense as well. Today kids need 24, that means there is no room for failure at all or they will be held back. Part of growing up is learning from not only our succeses but our shortcomings as well.
The Media: No problem with free speech or press. But realize that there are limits.
Weapons/ Gun Control: An armed scociety is a polite scociety. Of course there should be some control but very little. Loosen the laws on self defense and shooting might go up for a while but over all crime will go down.

there are purely some issues i could privatize. The social protection gadget should be fazed into inner maximum money owed over years with a view to no longer harm those already on it. the federal government has mis dealt with this badly for years and now the gadget is broke. The submit place of work because of the fact government crimson tape expenses lots funds that they are in a position to't stay under budget. the dep. of practise should be elated using duplicate artwork. All states have their very own branch of practise and that they already make very almost all the regulations for his or her college systems. the dep. of potential needs to pass because of the fact no one is well-known with what the hell they actually do. i'm unsure on the dep.. of Agriculture. i think of small farms nevertheless choose them to proceed to exist. In Louisiana a large style of the rubbish is already inner maximum and it works large. I pay much less out of my pocket than what it could value me if I lived interior the city and that they paid it. The bill purely comes from the city instead of the rubbish guy. you comprehend the city has to get their shrink. The Police, hearth, militia, and so on. ought to stay under the government. i does no longer believe a private business enterprise with those. i'm a Libertarian - properly no longer precisely yet they are the closest concern to my ideals.

Too many topics to cover in one question. Perhaps you could ask them in groups of similar items.
Most of those on your list would probably be handled in a regulated marketplace or simply in a free market. Conservatives believe in allowing market forces handle components of the economy. It's the ultimate people power. Regulation would only be necessary where the people could be frequently victimized by the businesses involved, as is happening in health care today (in this case, victimized by high prices for a necessary service).
Wherever law enforcement and the military are involved, conservatives almost always believe in life first, self-defense second and freedom third. The reason for this is if you're dead, you don't have any civil rights to protect.
Since most conservatives are religious, patriotism, self-sacrifice and generosity are cornerstones of most of our policy. Most of the military is conservative, most voluntary charitable giving comes from poor and middle class conservatives, and most Christians are damn proud to be Americans and thankful for our freedoms.
Some of the issues you mentioned toward the top of the list are called "special rights" by us and would likely immediately disappear. We don't respond well to "special rights", we prefer "equal rights" and "equal protection under the law", which is what the constitution actually says (meaning that "special rights are unconstitutional). No group of citizens has the right to be ranked above another group.
The "rule of law" is something that goes along with law enforcement. One person arrested and punished for murder is supposed to act as a deterrant that stops the next 100 murders. When liberals let child rapists out on probation, it undermines this aspect of the law. When anyone allows immigrants into the country illegally, the same thing happens. We allow immigrants in large numbers through the embassies. There's no need for them to go through the desert.

I can't answer for all Republicans, but here goes...
Health care - affordable
Enviornment - clean it up
SS - stay out of it (don't borrow from it)
Women's issues - ban abortion
Minority issues - do away with quotas
Immigration - more border guards
Jobs/economy - stop giveaway programs (an honest day's work
for and honest day's pay)
Foreign policy - walk softly, but carry a big stick
Taxes - keep as low as possible
Religion/politics - the Bible is a good source of knowledge,
but God's plan of salvation is a personal choice
Army/draft - good fences make good neighbors
Schools/funding - I have two kids in school, and they are
constantly asking for money. If funds are
increased, I would expect the asking to
decrease.
Media - the media has gotten out of control. It's time to rein
them in.
Guns - I love to hunt and target shoot. But it should be extremely
difficult for even a good citizen to get one.

Wow. Do you want us to write a book? All you need do my dear, is look at the past 6 years. Republicans have had the run of the house exclusively having shunned all democratic principles. And here's your situation today:
A senseless war that has created zillions of terrorists who will soon hit us home
An artificial economy based on borrowed money from our friends in China and Saudi Arabia
An obsene increase of the neo-robber barons' profits
A decrease in substantial jobs
An utter disregard for the less fortunate amongst us
A profound antipathy for science
An exploitation of the superstitious religionists
A disregard of sound advice
Loathing from our friends
Shame to our people
Loss of civil rights
Acceptance of torture
Do you want me to continue?

Hows this, rather than talk about that I'll attempt to bridge this cross party chasm thats goin on by showing my faith in my works instead of apart from my works. It seems to me there are a lot of people within the ranks of the democratic party that will say this isnt about partisan politics but that is exactly what this is. How about I'll tell you which democrats I like whom I'd like to see more of in the future. Hillary Clinton, Al Gore, Barbara Boxer, Harold Ford Jr.

Global warming is not occuring, this is all in your head. Taxes should be cut and people should be able to spend more of their hard earned monies. the death penalty is justifiable when you have those criminals committing heinious crimes. gay marriage should be banned because marriage should be between a man and a woman. Gun control is a way of preventing me from protecting my family. Abortion is wrong, a woman does not have a right to choose especially the taking of a life. Social security should be reformed because it will be completely depleted in 30 odd some years. Affirmative action should be ignored becasue everyone is on the same level and have equal opportunities. War is justified when out freedom is at stake.
