It spews water, radiator fluid, and oil steam out oil valve cover or the place where you put the oil.We think its a blown gasket or cracked seal. My husband did do a comprension test and each plug had a different measurement. Some 80% while one had 30%. Muellers Auto in Pueblo Colorado offered to look at it for $35.00. What do I do?

Poor compression, coolant coming out of the valve cover and oil filler is real bad. 95% chance it's a blow head gasket and is probably going to cost you a lot more than $350 to fix. I would definately seek another opinion, i'd also be curious to find out what they were planning on fixing for $350. Unless they're already disassembled the motor and fully inspected it that $350 could grow real quick. It may be $350 just to replace the head gasket but if the piston rings have been damage or the cylinder walls have been washed then it's going to be a lot more. Worst case scenario with a blown head gasket is you'll have to replace the entire block which will cost you a good amount of money.
In auto repair, always go with your instinct if it sounds fishy, not right, or like they're trying to rip you off take it somewhere else for another opinion. A second opinion will never hurt.

Just by reading that you had one cylinder at 30% pretty much says that there is probably a blown headgasket. Chances are it is blown between the combustion chambers and oil and water jackets. Check the oil if it looks like brown gravy you have water in the oil. The water spewing is from the engine getting hot. 350 for the job is not bad. But be aware if the it could run you a lot more. Usually you can salvage the engine if there is nothing but the headgasket and it has not been driven since.

If you trust the mechanic then yes it is reasonable.
I have a 1990 Jeep Cherokee that my aunt gave me about
five years ago. Myself, my husband, and my parents go
have been going to a mechanic that we trust for many years.
His prices are reasonable he takes along time to do the work but he does it right.

If it's got the straight six cylinder, it's a fairly easy fix.$350 is a good price.

It's probably a head gasket, in which case, that's a pretty good price.
