How many movies are they going to make of Harry Potter because hes going to be too old for the other ones.

I'm sure they will make all 7. It wouldn't be the first time an actor in their 20's played a teenager. There is also the option of recasting, like they have done with both Dumbledore (due to the death of actor Richard Harris) and the fat woman in the painting that leads to the Griffindor common room (Dawn French took over the role in Prizoner of Azkaban).

He is 18 and he is playing a 16 yr old kid in the movie, its not that big of a differnece considering that 30 yr olds get casted to play high school kids on sitcoms all the time (ex Luke Perry in 90210) there is a total of 7 moives since Hogwarts is a 7 yr school. So there are 3 more movies left and the 5th is already filmed. THey could film 6 and 7 at the same time too

I think they gona make em all, and at this pace, movie 7 would be released at summer of 2010 when the actor will be 21 while his character only 17. And Harry doesnt leave Hogwarts at the end of Book 5, nor 6

I get on imdb almost weekly to check stuff and the last time I was on there, Dan, Emma, and Tom Felton (Draco) were all attached (meaning, no, number 5 isn't the last for Emma) for the 6th movie. The movie itself is in the pre-production stages and a script has been approved. If you go to IMDB, the year 2008 is in parentheses behind the title, meaning it'll be released in that year. Phoenix in 2007, Prince in 2008, and I'm guessing Deathly Hallows in 2009, or maybe early 2010 (Depending when the novel is released, of course). Since Emma's already attached for Prince, I can't see her backing out of the last one, especially since there's only one more.

I thought the books were written 1 for each year of school.. the movies are coming out about 1 a year. So there shouldn't be any problem with the actors getting too old.

There doing all seven movies but some characters won't return daniel has decided he will return for all the movies but rupert and emma have not decided yet but I hope they all come back for the rest it would not be the same.Yeah they will be getting old the guy who plays draco will be he'll be 20 when he is in the last movie(if he comes back that is)Rupert will be 19 for the last movie if he comes back but I don't know how old emma and dan are so I don't know about them.

originally they were gonna do one per year so that the actor and the charector would age about the same.
however Prisoner of Azkaban ran into a fire problem and was the first one not to be released on time. It was pushed back a year.
Now Order was done over 2 years (not sure why).

I think they're planning on making all 7, but they will have to find different actors.... I don't think Emma Watson is interested in doing the last 2, and they are getting too old anyway.

the Order of the Phoenix is scheduled to come of in July i think. Probably 1 after it. at least 2 characters are going to be killed in the next book. that would put and end to harry unless he becomes a teacher at Hogwarts. harry leaves Hogwarts at the end of the Order of the Phoenix
