if i sent you...your years life forecast just by knowing your first name and date of birth would you buy it?

Online astrological services and psychics will do that for much more than $1, they charge $20 or more. However, even people gullible enough to believe in astrology and psychics won't believe that you can give them accurate information based on first name and date of birth alone. You would need to read their palm or something. Although, I suppose it's not so bad, because date of birth gives you horoscope information, and then first name tells you things about the person's parents and ethnicity. Someone with a normal christian name like John might not have as colorful a personality and family life as someone named Jazzmaldia.

Still, people will pay 25 cents to $2 to get their "fortunes" from an automatic machine. For example, I used a machine that read your signature and gave you a personality analysis based on your handwriting for $1. There are arcade machines that will give you a random fortune for like 50 cents.

So, I think that if you sold it the right way, yes, many people would pay $1 for their forecast. You might want to lean towards "fun" in your advertising; don't try to actually convince them it's accurate.
