I'm still trying to stop smoking, nothing is working!

I stopped smoking, cold turkey, and it was hard at first because I worked at Mcdonalds and it was stressful, and I loved my smoke break, but then I started dating my boyfriend who hated smokers, and he didn't like me smoking at all. So I decided that I would just go cold turkey and see what happens, and that was about 2 years ago now.

Alcohol. I had to give up drinking a bottle of 151 proof rum a day and a 12 pack of beer. Then I went out and partied. After that the drugs and tobacco were easy. 26 years sober now, everybody's favorite designated driver.
As for smoking, my ex had great success with the patch.

I know I'll get a thumbs down and maybe flagged but try to smoke weed for a week, it'll help with any withdrawls and you'll still fulfill that need to smoke which is half the habit of smoking anyway.

Definitely smoking. Quit 31 years ago.Best thing I've ever done. I still have nightmares that I'm smoking again. Hate those stinking cigarettes.

I can't quit smoking either, so far. I think the need to smoke is a nervous habit created by all the insanity in the world these days. And until the insanity stops, smoking is the only relief. In short, we'll die with a cigarette in our hands. And it won't be the smoking that killed us.

take it day by day.
Tomorrow. Say I'm not going to smoke and then don't.
When you get the urge to smoke, write down your feelings as to why you want to smoke.
Write down the negative effects as a result of your smoking.
if the urge to smoke is very strong, pray. Say God please remove my urge to smoke today.
If you can get thru one day it gets easier.
Worry about the next day of not smoking when that day happens and repeat the suggestions everyday.
Little by little you will gain time of not having a cigeratte.

Procrastinating, I still have yet to break that habit ;)

And of course not eating healthy foods and exercising as much as I should be, but, again, I still have yet to break this habit. It all goes back to the procrastinating!

biting my nails. I have always done it, especially when I am nervous. It made my nails look ugly. So, I am proud to say that I have broken that habbit, and I have nice, pretty nails.
