when you are trying to conceive is it better to have sex every other day or is it okay to have sex every day or multiple times a day. i would think the more you have sex the better the chance of a pregnancy, but ive heard if you only do it a few times a week its better because it makes a higher sperm count. which is better?

The amount of sex that you have is not always the best thing, it is all in the timing.

Are you charting your fertility signs to determine when you are most fertile. NO IT IS NOT so many days after your last period. It is 12 to 17 days before your next one. I wish people who choose to give advice would really learn what they are telling people!

The best thing to do is learn to monitor your BBT (morning temperature), cervical fluids (looking for 'egg-white' mucus) and cervical position (to see if the body is ready willing and able). The first one will tell you when you have actually ovulated, the last two will tell you that your body is getting ready to ovulate. The combination of the three signs, on a chart, will help you determine when you are best to time your baby making sex.

No more is not better. It is suggested that every other day, during the mid part of your cycle is sufficient, but every day is great, if the male has no problems with his sperm levels. The more you do it the lower the sperm count will be. Also sperm sets up a barrier to block any other sperm from coming in, this can last for a couple of hours.

I hope this helps. Don't put too much pressure on having sex to often. If you are truly trying to conceive, it can soon become a problem for your partner.

You are most fertile between the 12th and 14th day after your period. The day you start your period being day 1. As much sex as possible while you are in your fertile time does increase your chances but don't make sex a mission then. Just enjoy your time with your husband and don't put pressure on him. Men don't cope too well under sexual pressure.

Good luck!!!
