I have type 2 diabetes and I am 33 1/2 but already have lots of signs of early labor. Blood pressure is high, swollen feet, contractions and back pain. Dr. said I might get a C-section on February 13th if not before. Do u think my baby would be able to go home with me?????

well my baby was born when I was 34 weeks pregnant she came home with me a week later so to answer your question yes as long as your baby is healthy and so are you. I know that when you have a c section they keep you in a little longer so don't worry i'm sure you will be able to, if I could then you could to. good luck

You'd have to ask your doctor what the rules are in your area in terms of birthweight. Many areas (countries) will let a newborn go home if it is over 5 pounds, and if the preemie didn't need any special interventions.
Many 35 week babies are fully developed, they just haven't had time to put on the weight. If you are diabetic, though, your baby might already be quite big. If it has no breathing problems, they would probably release the baby from the hospital within a week of it's birth.

you will have to have it at the hospital for a while until it develops fully and is strong enough to live on its own with out oxygen and stuff.
