2 letters from "professors" and 1 letter from "professional work experience" is what I need to get. How much work experience do you think GRad schools want? In other words I will only have 4 months work experience at the time I apply and my job has nothing to do with my field of study....but it's a managerial role.
Any help, ideas suggestions please?

I guess it depends on what you're planning on studying and how important it is you have work experience in the field. All you can do is try though, If you don't get in then spend the next year getting that experience and apply again. But definitely give it a go, because even if you're not successful this year when you apply again after having chased up that experience they will see how keen and eager you are to get into the program. Remember one year goes by real fast. You might also enjoy and get more out of grad school when you've got better experience to back up your study.

Did you summer intern in your field of study? That might be a better choice.

If not, ask the person who is doing the "Professional" reference to emphasize all your transferable skills - things that are going to help you no matter where you go (like managing people!)

Best of luck!!!
