I know it's outdoors, but the River Rink is open through February.

Have you ever thought about taking a cooking class together?
Here's a list from the Reading Terminal Market:
http://www.readingterminalmarket.org/events/cookingclasses
Also, this week is restaurant week so it's a good time to pick a really nice restaurant that you couldn't normally afford and try it out for $30 a person. CCD lists the participating restaurants and their special menus for the week:
http://www.centercityphila.org/restaurantweek/default.aspx
I hope this helps!

There are free concerts at the Mann Music Center this summer, also Penn's Landing has some good events. Try the Franklin Institute-they have a cool King Tut exhibit running until the beginning of September or the Art Museum or the New Jersey State Aquarium across the river from Penn's Landing. The annual Musik Fest is going on this weekend right outside of Philly too. Have fun and welcome back.

Try ice skating on Penn's Landing: http://www.riverrink.com/ . . . nothing says a good date like falling on your face in skates :)
Or you can visit the Laff House comedy club on South Street. I went on a few dates there, and it was always fun. (Just don't sit in the front if you don't want to become part of the show ha.) We usually got a slice of pizza on South Street or some cheesesteaks afterward. And before you go to the comedy club, you can go to Condom Kingdom for some laughs with your boyfriend. http://www.laffhouse.com/
Or what about a ghost tour of historic Philadelphia? A tour guide will lead you around the historic part of Philly and tell you ghost stories. It's pretty fun and also makes for a good date, whether or not you believe in ghosts. http://www.ghosttour.com/
Or what about a 76ers game?
Or the Philadelphia Museum of Art? For example, the museum has jazz artists performing on the main stairs on some Fridays. There are other performances too, and you can reserve a table and get cocktails, food and desserts during various performances. Here's the museum's calendar of events: http://www.philamuseum.org/artafter5/
Have fun!

If he's going to cook dinner, maybe you could head out here afterwards...
http://www.nakedchocolatecafe.com/
or maybe here...
http://foobooz.com/2007/01/snackbar-3/
Back out of that site and into foobooz.com and you'll find a lot of cool places. There is also a bar called Mahogany, on top of Holt's at like 15th and Walnut. It's a cigar bar / longue kind of place and is a great place to relax. It's very pricey though, so be prepared.
I'd think the car show would be fun, but at the same time, it gets pretty crowded and there's nothing worse than not being able to see the inside of a car because someone's 3-year-old is pretending to drive.
As far as the beer and wine tastings go...try this search...

Try the University of PA Musuem ($7 - 10); An IMAX Movie; Philadelphia Park Casino (dinner and a little gambling); Try Chestnut Hill for a day art class. Pizza and a movie are always inexpensive and can be romantic.

I'm not sure. Go to AOL and look in the city's best section. They have different events and things there.
