I already have two children ages 3 1/2 and 1 1/2, but for the life of me, I can't remember how long it took for their umbilical stump to heal. I've been using cloth diapers since my youngest son was about 6 months old, and plan on using cloth right from the start with this baby, but I'm afraid that the diapers could rub against the umbilical cord stump. Can somebody remind me how long it is?

Hi. My son is 4mths old. His umbilical cord stump fall off 9 days after his birth and would heal completely arnd 1 to 2 wks latter. Try wearing the diapers below his umbilical cord. Hope this will help.

About two-three weeks is my recollection for both my boys. Using alcohol wipes around the stump helps speed up the process. Remember: the alcohol doesn't hurt, it's just cold on a newborn's skin.

My daughters was 10 days. Born on December 15th, cord fell off Christmas morning. Scared the you-know-what out of my husband, he thought he had done something wrong ..LMAO..

I am thinking my daughter's took about 11 days, but every baby is different.

my son took almost a week but my daughter was over a month. they said it was normal and every baby is different. it just depends
