when you watch some broadcast dramas around the lunch time, they look kind of cheap and the style feels like something from 80s-90s (but still enjoyable). why are they like that?

they're like that on purpose. they're to fill the void of romance, excitement and drama missing from the lives of wives sitting at home at 2 pm.

It has to do with the type of film and filming they use. ABC recently started using a different method, and it has made the show very difficult to watch; this from a woman who has been watching the show since 1975.

Hell, look who watches daytime tv.,
its either soaps, infomercials, maury, Jerry, or some stupid A** courtroom battle over who my baby daddy......
I stay on the computer during the day

To hypnotise you. You're going to want to watch it just because it is that way. They know how to make you look.
Then you 're forced to watch the commercials.
