How does that happen? Meaning how does the body go from telling you "I need sleep" to being wide awake again, as if you got a 'second wind'?
Just curious...thanks. :D

Your body causes your adrenal gland to pump out adrenaline to keep you going until you can take a break and sleep.

I was usually more bored or frustrated with where I was or doing, when example, I left work,I was glad to be away from there
and it just felt like a shot of adrenaline(hence to me, second wind), also could be the blood sugar levels during the day...

I have absolutly no clue, but that is so very true, I can stay up all night, and the next morning all of a sudden I am nowhere near tired, I think that it was just a burst of energy that your body knows that you need.

It's actually a human survival technique similar to when you get nervous. Your body pumps more blood into key physical areas of your body allowing you to either run fasteror feel stronger.

Okay not to be rude or mean or anything but I read in my Cosmo Girl magazine pg.53 "People who get five hours of sleep or less on a regular basis are more likely to become obese--sleep loss messes with your hormones,so you eat more than you need!"

I don`t know why that is. I think it`s like being hungry. You know when you have been hungry for so long that you don`t feel hungerpains anymore?
