There are a lot of different methods, but the only one that works for me is to keep a nail clipper and file handy.
I can go weeks without nailbiting, but if I get the tiniest chip on one nail, I have to bite it until it's even... and once I'm in the habit, I got after all my other nails, too. Yes, I know it's digusting and not that good for my teeth, either.
But if I trim or file the chipped nail before I chew it, I can usually prevent the biting. Maybe that will work for you, too.

i'm interior the skill of attempting to end bitting my nails too. I end each each now and then while i for my section attempt complicated. i've got tried very almost each little thing. The undesirable tasting stuff, is nasty, it truly works...however the only difficulty is like in case you're eating something along with your arms and you accidently lick your finger or something you style it. so as that's why i do in comparison to those varieties of issues. i latterly began utilising Nailtiques. that's a nail protein which you placed on your nails that facilitates them develop quicker. that's a sparkling polish. i exploit formulation 2, for mushy, peeling, bitten, susceptible or skinny nails. It has worked so a techniques for me, you be conscious it daily and it dries in approximately 30 seconds. i've got been utilising it for below a month and that i will already see a distinction. i comprehend for me that as quickly as they start transforming into a splash, i like how they seem and that i attempt greater good to end. i offered it at Ulta for $9.50 for the bigger one. i could think of they sell it at Sephora too. not sure the place else. wish this facilitates:) From one nail bitter to a different!

You can try putting tips, preferably crystal, as it is very hard to bite through....I know, because I have the same problem, I did real well for about 2 years, every time I take them off now, I start biting again....I hate this habit but I can't control myself, nervous tic I guess...Good Luck to you though, hope it works for you.

Just to let you know that the dirt under your finger nails contains little worms that you can see under a microscope. We did that in Biology class when I was in high school. I hope this helps!
