do you think that the new Iraqi government is really a democratic one?

Recently in the news it has been disclosed that since November the Iraq government has not convened once because no more than 40 to 60 of its members show up to work each day. However they still get their full salary.

Another bit of info to chew on is that the only two things have gone right for Iraq regarding their new democracy, the vote and the putting together of the constitution. Yet the constitution is widely ignored and this new found democracy has further distanced the three major political (or religious) groups.

Thank you for your thoughts and I truly appreciate your insights...it will hopefully give me a brighter viewpoint regarding things in Iraq...or not, who knows?

Anyone supporting Bush would have also supported the Captain of the Titanic after hitting the iceberg.

People are frustrated, they are sick of Iraq...

Many want to give up and let the Iraqi democracy die... and allow Iraq to turn into a terrorist haven.

There is no plan for Iraq but to leave.... according to democrats and defeatist

If we send more troops we can train more Iraqis.... then we can come home knowing Iraq will be secure and not a terrorist producing Vietnam.

But... no one cares about the Iraqi people and there families... and the untold number of deaths that our exit will make for Iraqis and Americans....

The future down the road... our children... will wish Americans would have stoped blaming Bush for Iraq and would have done somthing about it.

In the future.... Iraq will be a terrorist strong hold... for more 9/11s

Do you know how many Iraqis and families will die when we leave the Iraqis unprotected and insecure?

10s of thousands...

and 10s of thousands of our future Americans will have to pay the price for our irrisponsibility and ignorance over Iraq.

Go ahead people, bury your head in the sand. It is not about "victory" or "wining". This is not a game. It is for the saftu of America and Americans... as well as those living in Iraq.

Stup up already about Bush... It was never about Oil or Revenge....

Al Queda spread into Iraq... we had to go there next.

And Al Queda is there now.... the are not in Afganistan much anymore... they are in Iraq.

... of course the best way to solve this problem is to ignore the facts, point fingers on Bush, and complain in a partisan way.

Of course things could be going better in Iraq, everyone wishes that. But keep in mind the fact that the United States of America declared its independence in 1776 and was victorious. However, they did not ratify their constitution until 1787. These things take time.

You can bring a horse to water but can't force him to drink. Much like a democracy in the middle east. You can bring it to them doesn't mean they are going to want it!
