I can't believe no one mention Sergio Leone's Once Upon a Time in America! It's the 2nd best gang film to The Godfather hands down. Brilliant movie. Miller's Crossing and Amongst Friends were both terrific choice mentioned previously. I'm not sure if you'd call it a Mob Movie or not...it's a crooked cop film...the mob is involved....it's called Romeo is Bleeding. TERRIFIC. I think The Sting qualifies as a mob film....although it's a well known classic.
You need to check out Once Upon a Time in America...you'll thank me for it.

Miller's Crossing is a great mob movie set in the 30's. Joel and Ethan Cohen (they did Fargo) wrote and directed.
Donny Brasco is good, and Johnny Depp plays a cop that goes undercover and infiltrates the mob.
Casino is about a mobster that goes to Vegas and runs a casino, starring Robert DeNiro and Sharon Stone.

A really good one that no one mentioned is "Innocent Blood" which could have been called "The Godfather meets Dracula"! Great mob flick, great vampire flick...two for the price of one! It stars Anthony LaPaglia, Anna Parillaud, Robert Loggia, and Don Rickles, and directed by John Landis.
