I would think that it means that he's gotten better with time. Why worry about what was a problem in the past but isn't now? If it happens again then deal with it but nothing stinks worse than old sh*t so don't dig it up.

Men have poorer listening skills than do women. His visual skills are good so try nonverbal communication. Basically, in his statement, the assumption he's making is that he is obliged to do something (I have to) so you're forcing him against his will - to listen, as opposed to talk or see, for a very long time (all night). The (I guess) is an assumption that's saying, there may be a probablity that I won't be forced to do this and that there's a probability that I will be. He's given you a choice in as kindly a way possible.

Why are you worrying about something he said years ago when you guys are having a great time now?

The thing about us women is we tend to over-talk, worry too much over nothing and over-analyze every situation and sentence. From what I know, sometimes men mean exactly what they say and there's no hidden meaning.

In this case, he was probably tired of having to just talk about sex (maybe you've been going on too much and too long on the subject?) and not do anything about it.

Enjoy your man and count yourself blessed!

So why bring it up? Sounds to me like you're still holding on to something. If sex is an issue, I suggest that you be the better woman and spice it up a bit. Go purchase some candles, a sexy corset, a bottle of champagne, and let the rest go on from there. You know men are visual individuals right? Surprise him by putting in a porn. You'll surly have his attention.

If it’s in the past, then why are you even wondering about it now?

With that said, if his response was ‘i guess i have to hear this all night’ then it sounds to me like MAYBE you were being critical? If so, it doesn’t say anything about him other than he doesn’t like to be criticized, and who does? That’s a delicate subject, and one that must be approached the proper way.

But again, it’s in the past, so why are you thinking about it, because it’s irrelevant now.

It means that you're beating a dead horse & I would rather sleep. Because of all the talk, that's probably why things weren't going on as much.

Once in bed, my husband either wants to do it or go to sleep. NO TALKING!

Some of us guys get really uncomfortable when you start poking at our "feelings". That's a youth thing, and, as you said, that was years ago.

It's like, I don't know, like our MOTHER is asking us the question or something.

It's insecurity and fortunately, we (most of us) grow out of it.

I'm 43 and there's nothing a woman can throw at me now that would embarass me.

Guys just don't care to talk about things like that. Men are more physical, they're more seers and doers. I think some men are actually embarrassed when/if we talk about sex in a context that they are/were involved... =)
