Double click the speaker icon on the toolbar and uncheck the mute box. Unless you have a laptop that uses the Function key (Blue) then you press Function and the blue speaker key.

In the bottom righ hand corner of your screen you should have the time displayed. Just to the left of this there should be a little "speaker" icon that says "volume" when you scroll across it. Double click on this and it should bring up a master volume control panel. At the bottom of each selection there are mute buttons, just unclick the one that is ticked and you should have sound. go to the volume and on the bottum click the mute
in your decktop

right-click on the "volumn" icon in the system tray on the bottom right of your screen -- it looks like the end of a trumpet. You will find options there.
