he ALMOST threw one in the superbowl XXIII. during a game winning drive he went over 92. in the red zone he threw one right to the cornerback and he dropped it. very next play Montana threw a TD pass for the win

if that cornerback caught the ball, the niners would have lost that superbowl, and i would be calling him by his name instead of saying "that cornerback"

his players talked about montana going down the field to win a game. they said it would get to the point where everyone in the huddle knew he was gonna do it, then everyone on the defense knew he was gonna do it, then everyone else knew he was gonna do it. now that is a heavy field presence.

on a final drive in an NFC championship game the 49ers had to march down the field and score to win the game, he looked up over the huddle, pointed and said "look guys, there's john candy". talk about composure.
