I would like to understand how it is that most people believe that government officials who lie and clearly violate public trust should not be held accountable for their unlawful actions just like the rest of us? I do not get it. Think about 9/11 for example. If you or I were responsible for reporting that event, would we be able to withhold video evidence as the government is doing RIGHT NOW? The short and simple answer to this question is NO. We would be forced to show the evidence or we would be imprisoned until we did and even afterwards.
So why then does the Bush Administration and all other governmental offices get to withhold evidence and therefore not be held accountable? What makes them so special if this is indeed a free country with elected officials by the people and for the people?
Does the logic evade you too?

FYI, there are three known videos of EXACTLY what hit the Pentagon on 9/11. These videos would possibly CLEARLY show whatever it was, a plane, a missle, a "flying saucer," etc, that hit the Pentagon on 9/11. And that would be a HUGE step in the right direction for the ENTIRE WORLD. There is NO logical reason aside from a coverup NOT to release these FBI confiscated videos. The footage came from the Shereton Inn security cameras on top of the hotel. The Citgo gas station across the street from the Pentagon and the Virginia Department of Transportation Interstate cameras.
There is video footage of exactly what hit the Pentagon and I believe the USA and world deserves to see it.
And the argument of not showing the people dying in the planes is worthless as everyone has seen the "possibly" cargo jets hitting the twin towers.
The conspiracy theory would either be proven or put to rest with the release of the tapes, which leads to only one conclusion; the govt wants us DIVIDED.

It's perfectly logical to me. It's about power and money.
The government officials all have it and know that we don't (at least not as much) so, they can get away with murder...literally.

Based on your premise, there is NO logic. Government officials have not been held accountable for longer than I can remember. The one thing I question--is the 'conspiracy" theory of 9/11. If information is withheld, of course it makes everyone suspicious.
But--do you really, truly believe....& if so, I'd sincerely like to know your sources. ANYTHING is possible, but what would have been the motivation? In general, I agree that our elected officials seem to be "beyond/above" laws that govern US. THAT is obvious. "By the people & for the people" has long gone out the window. I doubt anyone takes that seriously anymore.

Well, you clearly do not understand or know how the intelligence world works,
You can not divulge evidence or intelligence information and HOW you got that information because doing so would expose HOW you got it and WHERE you got it, which in some case perhaps was obtained by a very secretly placed spy in some other country's' government for example, or a very new secret spy satellite no one knows about.
You see the minute you show how you got the info you loose the ability to get more, and in the case of the spy you may even get him or her kill!!!!!
So, no, the general public and even most people in government do not have the "need to know" for security and safety reasons for our "assets" (satellites, spies, etc)
Understand?

I discussed this very thing with my brother today who still cannot believe that so many people would be participating in a major cover up.
My #1 question is this: if there is absolutely nothing to hide, and our elected officials are telling us the truth of those horrible events on that day, then why did Mayor Giuliani order the complete removal of what was left of the Twin Towers and Bldg 7, and have it shipped overseas to be recycled, thus making the investigation of the remaining materials a complete impossibility?
If no bombs brought down those buildings, there would be no thermate residue to be found in the scraps of those buildings, right?
So why then get rid of the evidence if all investigators would find is metal, paper, drywall and jet fuel?

Withholding evidence from whom? Are you on a jury in a case related to 9/11? If so you have a right to see the evidence. If not, you don't. I can't conceive of what might be gained by showing that video.

That is what the Freedom of Information Act is all about. You can, after a lengthy process digging their heels in, demand the documentation.
Of course in a case like this, what you get will be redacted all to bezeezus due to 'national security' reasons.

What are you talking about? Please give a lucid explanation in your own words. Don't post any links, show us you have a mind of your own.
In case your not sure what a mind is, here is a short primer.....
Mind refers to the collective aspects of intellect and consciousness which are manifest in some combination of thought, perception, emotion, will and imagination.
