I am giving my site an overhaul and don't know which is better; DWT or ASP Master Page??? I know the features are similiar; but I'm not writing any code and want to select the one that will still be around ten years from now. I think I read somewhere that DWT's use Frontpage server extensions and MS is going to phase out that and not provide support anymore for extensions. Is this true? Please help me decide. Any input is greatly appreciated.

dwt is a part of frontpage, which you should not use. Frontpage was a good program 2 years ago, but the web has evolved and it has not. Now pages created with frontpage are not even valid html. I would use ASP mater page.

Either use ASP Master Pages, or develop your own custom solution based on a template control and a base page to inherit from.

Thank You.
