CDs almost everywhere use the same encoding system, so should be no problem. VCDs from China won't work elsewhere. it is DVDs which are local - look for the world map with a number in front of it (usually on the back of the holder near the bottom): "1" is for the U.S.; "6" for China; etc.

yes it do work for cd. if its dvd, older version of the players have regional settiings. newer models have multiregional settings.

yes! they do.. especially if you have the cheap ones you can buy from raon in quiapo.. they play cds that branded players cant play.. including dvds.. lol
