Dreams are, for the most part, entirely personal. What this means is that although some dreams have universal meanings (which simply means it meant the same for alot of people), even a universal dream can be something entirely personal and unique to the individual at the time it occurs.

The best way to interpret dreams is to go to a bookstore with a large selection of dream interpretation books. Start browsing through them and see which dream symbols you most agree with. The more dreams you feel a 'resonance' with, the more likely that particular book will be able to provide answers for you. Also, you can go to a large public library and look up dream books, or even request them. That way, if you find one you like, you can then order it through a bookstore either in your town or online, perhaps for really cheap.

Not only that, but using that book (and reading it all the way through) can actually help you reconfigure your dream imagery according to the symbols in the book. This is because your mind essentially WANTS to communicate with you. Therefore, if it senses that you are responding to certain images and interpretations more easily than the ones it was using, it can switch over to the new 'images' since it will know you will use that book to help you understand what is happening.

Trying to interpret a dream is the same as trying to get a 'right' diagnosis. Just because a person (book, website) is a doctor doesn't mean they have all the tools and experiences necessary to help you. Each doctor exists to help a certain number of people. If they can't help you, then they aren't your doctor (dream book/website).

it is possible that the random firings are that of the most recently used neurological pathways. so if you were thinking about dogs at some point for example, that evening a dog might appear in your dream. even if dreams were interpretable a website could not do it for you. simple symbol recognition is not enough. different things have meaning for people of different cultures, experiences and ways of life. dream interpretation is highly subjective anyway. if you are still interested i would just suggest talking about your dream with a friend and seeing what ideas you come up with on your own about what it means to you.

Dreams cannot be interpreted by an random website. The dreams that we see during the night is caused by impulses caused by the brain, the brain stem, and the spinal cord during a person's sleep. However, we do not know why there are random impulses. Dreams and nightmares occur during Stage 2 and REM of our sleep. In these stages, our brain is active in a way where there are alpha waves and sleep waves. This means that our body is sleeping but not our brains. There are some studies and correlations that believe that the brain is organizing our memories of that day and the past. However, there are other studies is that they are just random memory impulses. I may sound scientific but sometimes i myself dream of things that i have never seen, but see later (prophecy...i don't know?) (faulty memory....maybe) (Me - - -Psychology/neurology specialist...)
