I've seen this movie several times and it is one of my favorites, but the scene towards the end where Joel and Clementine break into the house still confuses me. This is supposed to be the day they met, but Joel says he leaves when Clementine says "so go". If he left then how do they end up dating?

Its' so simple. I'm gona put it in chronological order.
They meet, they start dating, then Clementine gets sick of him erases him from his memory, then Joel's friend tells him she erased him, so he decides to erase her. Then wat we see at the begginning of the movie is when they meet again, and we dont really know why, this is fantasy so we must guess they must have both kept something in their brain about each other, in this case probly Montauk, where they meet again and start a new relationship. Then the girl played by Kirsten Dunst decides to tell every customer about the person they erased so sends both their tape where they talk about erasing the other person. Then Clementine plays that tape where she talks bad about Joel and joel's in the car and he gets pissed, then he comes home and plays his tape where he talks bad bout clementine and clementine gets in, and they stick together.

When they are in the house, it is the beginning of one of their relationships. Originally, the movie had longer clips showing that Clementine and Joel had erased each other from their memories numerous times. One of those times that they "met for the first time", they broke into the house.
When Joel is having his memory erased, they replay that scene again with Clementine asking what would happen if he stayed. He tries to stay, but his memory is erased anyway, leaving nothing behind.
After his memory is erased, he skips work to go to Montauk (he vaguely remembers Clem whispering it as she is erased) and runs into her on the retaurant and start talking on the train again. Noticeably he doesn't remember the song because his memory was erased the night before.

well they probably get together with the help of joel's friends (tht couple)
they wouldn't show all tht. cos im thinking the point of that scene was to show how they met. and they had already established a common relatinoship....like joel and clementine both knew the couple. so there was no need to elaborate further. its not like they met randomly out of the blue.

i don't know, that movie gets kind of confusing about that. i thought they met on the train, then they're in this house.... hell i don't know
