I thought it was candid and heartfelt, not dodging the issues by tackling them head on. Very classy of him to recognize Pelosi and Mutumbo.

I coulnd't bear listening to more than a couple sentences of lies. I AM looking forward to the Daily Show treatment. BTW, there's a poem someone made of Bush quotes, called "Make the Pie Higher!" -- some searching would probably find it. Where I live, it was during the news cast. It didn't last all that long -- the news picked up right after it. I just had it on mute, once I realized nothing else was on.

He did a respectable job overall with a couple of really good high points. Everybody is a critic nowadays but I still have respect for the man and the office although I don't support him as enthusiastically as I once did.
I especially thought the portion where he reminded the majority of those present that they voted with him in support of the war based on the best information they had at the time. He went on to ask them to support the troops and their efforts.
Iraq is a mess but most all the the politicians agreed at the time we should undertake to help. Who else in the world will? Let's not conveniently forget they all voted in favor, based on the same flawed intelligence. It was not a plot, it was not a grudge. It is a chance to make a difference if we don't abandon what we all agreed to start.

No, it really wasn't spectacular. Or anywhere close. It was full of stubborn propaganda about the war that annoyed liberals, and full of sucking up to Nancy Pelosi and Al Gore on various topics, which annoyed conservatives. His middle of the road approach to immigration ("It's not amnesty, by golly, because I don't call it amnesty!") annoys just about everyone.

As a libertarian, I saw some concepts and ideas that I actually liked, but a lot of it was just political babble that won't be acted on.

No his speech wasnt ok, because all he did as repeat the same stuff he has told the nation thousands of times in the past. He danced around all the stuff people wanted to know, but that is what all politicans do. It wasn't doing it for me. I wished boston legal would have came on. At least they tell me something different every week.

It was full of hot air and no substance except for the part where he said he was going to send 20,000 troops into Iraq no matter what Congress, the military or the American people think of it. So there.

Is there anything G.W.B., did, does, or will do, could be really OK. If you are a good American you must judge first.

In my opinion, All of His speeches are more funny then "Okay or well done"..But of course, I strongly dislike the guy, So that could just be my wrath =0

It was pretty much the same old, same old.. The stupid grin, the lies... a few ovations for trickily worded phrases... but mostly it was his ra ra speech for waging war next in Iran.

Wait and see... if he isn;'t stopped our troops will be dying there next...
