I'm beging to think that I'm going in a downward spiral, it all started today when I found out I may not be able to work in the school library anymore (which I feel which is my only safe haven). After which I the only thing I could feel like doing was cry, but it escalted from there when another student took a picture of me in comprimising position with his camera phone (with the intention to embarass me, I supose). I feel that my life has taken a turn for the worse, and it caused me to be really depressed. I really don't know what to do.

Visualization is the key.

Picture yourself in your life the way you want it to be tomorrow, and every day thereafter.

Your thoughts are like a magnet, and really are powerful enough to turn things around for the better, (or make things worse- it's your choice).

Be willing to turn this negative experience into a positive :-)

Sounds like you are disturbing yourself which will cause a downward spiral. These things seem very serious right now, but if you continue going forward, you will find they are not that big of a deal. I'm sure if you look at the other things in your life, you will see something worth having. Oftentimes, what we first think of as a tragedy turns into an opportunity. Find someone to talk to and don't be afraid of crying. Its okay to feel emotions!

Find a new happy spot or hobby!!
It will keep your mind off of the hard times you are going through.
Listening to music helps me. I love to listen to music that i can relate to that very moment I'm in. I listen to music every day to escape this crappy life I'm in. I don't think you're in a 'downward spiral,' obviously, like the other answers have said, things could be much worse. But, the most important thing is you are happy and living happy. Do things that make you happy, and about the picture, don't be embarrassed by a picture, ask yourself: do you really care that they took a picture of you? If it really bothers you, maybe you could talk to them if you had the courage, but if you're like me, I have a fear of talking to people I do not know. You are yourself, they are their selves, well what I mean is you know what makes you happy, and they have their hobbies.. kind of. Just be glad that you have a better way of entertaining yourself then taking pictures of random students with a cell phone. Do things that make your life happier, and love people who make you smile.
Love brings happiness..

What you are experiencing may seem quite bad to you, but in reality it's really not that bad. Many people in this world or even this country have it a lot worse. So cheer up and look at the bigger picture. If you are ever in a real downward spiral one day, you will KNOW it.

That is nothing compared to what i have been through the last 3 years,i have a looooong story.
Anyway....why do you think that the library your only safe haven?
Everyone has bad days once in awhile.Don't let the people who took the pic get to you..it couldn't have been that bad.
Tommorrow is a new day.

Try to lighten up, things could be much worse. I don't mean to downplay your feelings, but believe me, you have got to be able to take the lumps in this life or you will go down. Best of luck to you.
