If the direction of rotation is prograde (same as it is here, on Earth), there there is one more sidereal day than there are solar days in a year.

Therefore, 3 solar days per year for 4 sidereal days. One solar day is 1/3 of a year.

Because the apparent movement of the sun (reflecting Earth's orbit around the Sun) is one full turn per year, the Earth will have to turn once more, in relation to the stars, than in relation to the Sun.

If the rotation is the other way, then 5 solar days per year (73 of our present days per "Twin's" solar day).

Back to the prograde spin, where Twin's day would be
I do not know how Twinnians would divide their day. I supposed that there would be 60 units (60 is such a fun number, being divisible by so many integers) in a "day", and 60 more for the night.

Eventually, they would adopt a "day" of 120 units beginning at midnight. Some continents would insist on having 60 units ante meridies (before noon) and 60 more units post meridies (after noon) while most others would simply say "I'll meet you at the 65th unit" instead of saying at 5 p.m.

Thus, each unit would be slightly longer than one of our days, here on Earth. There sould, of course, be sub-units.

i'm not sure what your query grew to become into yet I think of this variety of worldwide could be very diverse from our worldwide. as a results of fact it could be weeks between sundown and first easy the temperature distinction between middle of the night and mid day could be critically extra effective than on our earth. Storms could be critically diverse. As we've all viewed on television information, super storms at sea all spin. They spin one direction north of the equator and the different direction south of the equator. With a slower spinning worldwide the storms would possibly not have that function. existence might extremely be diverse. There could be a super survival earnings to creatures that had the thank you to "SEE" their environment devoid of using pondered easy. possibly maximum animals might have expertise such as what we expect of bats have.
