Well, my girlfriend carries her cell phone almost everywhere she goes. I am thinking about monitoring her using the Global positioning system built into her cell phone - the same technology that police and 911 services use to locate people. Basically, I want to make sure she isn't going anywhere that she is not allowed and I also want to make sure she isn't going places without my permission. I feel I need to be protective of her because she is a woman, plus she needs to be a good girl and be obedient and if she isn't then it will tell me if she is wifely material or not.

Don't do that. Should she find that you have been monitoring her whereabouts, that will kill your relationship. Look for signs and odd cues instead. A strong relationship (such as a marital one) is forged with trust. If you can't trust her, you don't deserve her.

I know what you mean when you say you want to be protective. We're both very much the same in that regard. However, if she's not smart enough to stay in a safe place, she's not worth your time. A woman that gets into trouble with the wrong people is a dame. Dame's are always bad news.

Yes, it IS appropriate to track her whereabouts if you are controlling, manipulative, and don't trust her. THOSE traits, however, are NOT appropriate. If you don't trust her, find someone else.

If you feel compelled to dominate every aspect of a woman's life, there are many fine third-world countries where that behavior is acceptable. In the U.S., however, it could get you maimed or killed. I suggest watching "The Burning Bed" or any of the news footage or movies about John Wayne Bobbitt if you have any questions.

I understand that you want to protect your girl, but, this seems like really too much. Has she given you reason not tot trust her? Is she something you view as a pet? I understand cultural traditions and beliefs, but, in this day and age maybe sitting down with her and getting your views and hers out there may help you and her come to a more understanding trust.

Basically you are a jealous control freak. You can try to justify it all you want, but it is wrong. She doesn't need your permission to go places or has to be obedient. Hopefully she will prove to you that she is not wifely material so she will not be making a mistake by marrying you. Usually the accuser is the one who is guilty.

Are you insane?? You've obviously got osme kind of control issue and I hope your girlfriend gets OUT before the control gets worse. You need to see a counselor, psychologist, something. You're nuts. You have NO right to treat her with such disrespect. She's your girlfriend, not your child, and she has her own free will and her own life and her own body and whether or not she ever becomes your wife, those will remain hers to do with as she pleases. If you don't trust her, don't be with her. But your control and spying is abusive.

Yeah but wouldn't it be easier to stalk her the old fashion way? You know lurking behind bushes and in dark alleys. Get over yourself dude, she's a WOMAN!! We can handle ourselves quite well in most instances, besides you're not her "Daddy" who she needs permission from to go somewhere. Insecure, possessive creeps like you make me glad I have the most wonderful man in the world. Oh and trust me, if you think you can control her every move and that she's gonna obey you like some little puppy, you are SO wrong.

Besides if you "lay" it to her right you won't have to worry about her out there looking for it in other places. Grow a set man and trust your girl.

Yes, it is completely wrong! You are not her father, you are her boyfriend. You are not the boss of her, she doesn't need your permission to do anything. You do not have to know everything she does. There's a difference between being protective and being psycho and controlling. You, my friend, are psycho and controlling. If you want obedience, get a dog.

1. Would you like for her to do the same to you??
2. Do you need her permission for everywhere YOU go?
3. My advice to her - drop you like a hot potato!! - from one who
who knows what she is talking about!! Lack of trust and wanting complete control on your part will be H___ for her if she sticks with you.
