You should live on the equator in the Andes at a high elevation above most of the moisture at the equator.

At zero degrees latitude. That's the equator. The earth bulges out a little at the middle and flattens a little at the poles. Geometrically speaking, there will be less of the planet in your way, obstructing your view, if you're standing on the equator.

Can't say for certain, but there's a chance that there will be even less of the planet in your way if you're standing on Mount Everest Latitude: 27 59 17 N. Don't know if the elevation of the mountain is great enough to overcome the bulge effect.

If you take atmospheric refraction into account, the south pole might be the best place.
