What you might have is a hiatal hernia. Acid reflux: A common condition and an abnormal one in which acid in the stomach rises up into the esophagus. This occurs because the valve separating the contents of the stomach from the esophagus does not function properly. You might want to go to the drugstore and purchase some zantac which is over the counter and is not all that expensive. Cut back on spicy foods and alcohol. Don't smoke. See a Dr. if your condition does not improve.

Several people have already nailed it. I have had the same problem for years (only I don't aggravate it by burping. Bad idea). Your stomach valve isn't closing properly. You will probably eventually have to see a MD, have an endoscopy, get medication, etc. But a few pointers to possibly delay the inevitable. Eat smaller quantities of food at one setting (don't stuff). Avoid lying down unless it has been 4 hours since you last ate (easier said than done, but it really helps). When you do go to bed, raise the head of your bed several inches. You can try extra pillows, but raising the bed works better. Wish you the best. Stop burping!

if I had to guess I would say that you are suffering from acid reflux. Try taking an over the counter anti-acid such as tums to see if this help. If this does not work then it is important for you to go and see a doctor for a prescription strength antacid. Stomach acid is extremely hard on your esophagus so you need to get this problem under control asap.

Sounds like Acid Reflux. For now you can go to your pharmacy and buy some Pepcid or the generic pills for acid indigestion, that should take care of it until you see your family doctor. It's very important to see your doctor about your condition because Acid Reflux can cause damage to your esophagus which can lead to cancer.Take care.

It is called acid reflux, or the medical term is GERD. It is when your opening to your stomach does not close properly and allows stomach acid to be regurgitated back up your throat. Pepcid AC and medicines like it help. If they don't work see a Gastroenterologist.

It's called heartburn or acid reflux. The acid can do damage to your voice and food tube. That's what Tums and Rolaids are for. It it gets to be daily or you take a lot of them, see a doctor. Or try Prilosec.

You have acid reflux & luckily it is treatable. Please try to avoid any gasy foods like soda. You will also want to avoid grapefruits & oranges. Milk products can be painfull too.Try bland foods like boiled chicken & turkey. Zantac works great & is now availble over the counter.I used to pay $125.00 for 30 pills. Please try this & stay stress free & you should be feeling better in no time. Most important never lay down after eating, wait at least 2 hrs.

That's just a really acidy stomach. If it doesn't go away in about a week or so, go to a doctor. They will give you a med to help you with acidy stomach.
