Knowing the Difference Between Wants and Needs
What are "needs"? What are "wants"?

"Needs" are what we need to live. "Wants" include everything else we might like to have, but we don't need to survive. For practice, check the boxes below depending if it's a need or a want.

Separating needs from wants helps get spending under control.

Need is the basic requirements of the life. Want is the thing required by you to fulfil the need. Food is a need to satisfy the hunger. Hunger can be satisfied with a bread or with a Pizza - whatever you wanted.
Again the needs are in turn are of various stages - basic needs, social needs, emotional needs etc.,
Hope you are clear with the concept of need / want

Need defines things that the human body has to have to live. Things like food, clothing, somewhere warm. The human body also needs love and needs to feel wanted. The word want defines things that you would really like to have but the world wont apart if you dont have them. Things like playstations, new fashion, the best car and even the best neighbourhood and children.

Need is natural like human biological and psychological needs.
Want is man made like wanting all those scattered around them - I mean the material thing in life.

"Want" is a concious level of desire in which the person simply desires to have the thing or person in question. I "want" a cup of coffee and I want it badly. "Need" is a physical level in which the person requires that thing or person to operate. An automobile "needs" gasoline to operate.
