Not sure where you live but in Australia family cannot have a person committed, it takes two independant psychiatrists to agree and have a person scheduled.
What makes you think you have the right, or knowledge to try have a person committed in the first place?

if you truely think it is in her best interest and well being, then it would be perfectly acceptable to have her committed.
