Make sure to keep all records, of oil changes especially. Mobil one is by far your best bet. If you can find it, use 0w40 ESP formula, its a grey bottle with green on the label. Depending on the mileage you should keep a close eye on the oil level. If your ML is consuming oil it could fall under a court case and qualify to be fixed at no cost to you. You would have to pay for an oil consumption test but it would be reimbursed if it qualified. This is only available at MB dealers.

5-50 castrol oil sync. and premium fuel. I never run what the book says,cause automakers are interested in selling new engines,and parts. Amsoil is the best,but hard to find. I would run sync. ATF in the transmissions. After Benz got with Chrysler quality went downhill.

USE MOBIL 1 / 10 W 40 FULL SYNTHETIC ONLY! FAILURE TO DO THIS WILL CAUSE ENGINE WEAR. ALSO I DON'T RECOMMEND TO GO OVER 6,000 ON OIL CHANGES - EVEN THOUGH MERCEDES DOES TELL YOU THAT YOU CAN GO AT LEAST 10,000 MILES. I TELL ALL MY CUSTOMERS THE SAME THING, THEY HAVE PAPER OIL FILTERS THEY WILL BREAK DOWN OVER TIME! USE PREMIUM FUEL, STAY AWAY FROM GENERIC BRANDS THEY WILL CAUSE PROBLEMS WITH YOUR OXYGEN SENSORS! You could use premium gas but you can get away with mid-grade. You should use synthetic oil.

unleaded fuel 98 octane and for the oil use full synthetic 10/30 and for the brand use any well known one it does not matter brand
