If you want what's best for the Oscars, they should be kept in a species tank. Oscars are not aggressive cichlids as far as they go, and will often get pummeled in a mixed cichld setup.
Unfortunately you are on the road to disaster and should stop while you are ahead and do some research. Learn how to keep these misunderstood creatures, preferably before they start killing each other. At this point unless your aquarium is in the range of hundreds of gallons, I can guarantee it will not work out as a long term scenario. The bigger cichlids get, the more aggressive they get, so don't think I'm wrong just because your babies are getting along.
Cichlids are not friends. At best they tolerate each other, at worst they kill each other. Mixed new world cichlid setups are common, but far from the ideal way to keep these fish. They're good for people who just want a bunch of big fish and action in the tank. They're not good for those who like their fish to exhibit unstressed, natural behavior and long term health.
Go to www.cichlid-forum.com, where there is lots of information to help you along. Learn to keep them properly and the result is one of the most rewarding types of fish one can keep.

Two baby oscars in how big of an aquarium? Dimensions or a size would be alot more help. You will need to give one of the oscars back in the future unless you have about an 180 gallon tank + for these guys, not to mention to mingle them with other fish. But if you bought them, you probably know that already. www.cichlid-forum.com for fish to go with oscars, and a great forum to go with.

Oscars are from South America; Amazon; parana; Rio Paraguay; Rio *****. Despite their size they are generally peaceful fish except when spawning. Jack Dempsy's are from bogs and slow moving water in Guatemala, Yucatan, and Honduras. They are territorial, intolerent and a biter. Though these two fish may live together for awhile when young as they grow you will need to seperate them or risk the dempsys killing your oscars.
Any peaceful Large cichlid from south america might co-habitate with your Oscars severums would be a good choice. As for the Dempsy's they will need to be in a tank of their own as they mature

First off these fish are going to grow LARGE so be prepared to provide huge aquariums in the future. Many south american cichlids will work but you might look into Severums (both gold and green) bala sharks, irridescent sharks and a big plecostomus
