If an application only has a place for current employee recomendations, where can I put other recomendations from a teacher?
And does baby sitting, house cleaning, lawn care for a friend of the family count as past employment even if I was not on a pay roll?

I wouldn't think recomendations from a teacher would be necessary but you could always attach the recommendations to the application if you really wanted to.
And as far as the babysitting, house cleaning and lawn care goes, most applications don't ask for anything other than jobs where you were on an actual payroll.

You can use the things you mentioned only if you are a first-time job seeker. This meaning you have never held a job before where you were on a payroll.
