The team was originally merely a part of the back story of the X-Men’s Wolverine but, in 1983, Byrne launched an eponymous series featuring the group, which continued until 1994. Two short-lived revivals have been attempted since, with a third recently announced, called Omega Flight, despite most of the team's apparent demise.

Omega Flight will be part of the outcome of the Civil War. Not much being said about it yet. Marvel character update is rather vague on some of the Alpha Flight characters like Puck. Does mention the battle with the collective.

Why did they ever make alpha flight in the first place. This was by far marvel's worst series and a poor attempt to capitalize on the fame of wolverine and the x-men.

canada can just leech of the U.S. other heroes in the marvel universe, its what they do in reality anyway.

I would read a new alpha flight only if they drew thier heads in south park format.

Alpha Flight is dead but Omega Flight will be starting a 6 issue miniseries sometime this or next month depending on Civil War and how late it will push everything else back.

I believe Vindicator, Beta Ray Bill and US Agent are going to be members of the team.

Go to Toonopedia, they have the info you want. They say that Alpha Flight has not been in their own book since 1999, but they still make guest appearances throughout the Marvel universe. Enjoy!

I don't believe they make Alpha Flight anymore, but I think there's been talk of a new series. Yes, they are still Canadian.

They no longer exist. The team was decimated by Michael Pointer (New Avengers #16, 2006)
