I am trying to burn a playlist onto a disc. I chose "burn playlist to disc" and put the disc in.. ITunes then says its complete but when I try to play the disc on a cd player nothing is on there except some wierd noise like it is broken. This has happend several times and I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong because ITunes says its burning it to the disc properly. Help!

If you are trying to play it on a normal cd player (not a player that plays mp3's from cd's) then on itunes you need to go to Edit--> Preferences--> Advanced--> Burning, and then Where it says "Disc Format" click on Audio CD (to see a picture go to this link --> http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l142/proxy_21/burning.jpg ).

Something I would suggest as well is that you set the Importing Settings to mp3 format, as this is a format that is compatible with pretty much any audio player and software applications.http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l142/proxy_21/importing.jpg

hope that helps.

The problem is not that anything is broken but that ITunes uses MP4 formatting for the music. You can't play MP4 files without a converter on a regular CD player. You will have to download a converter program to convert the MP4 into MP3 or WAV files to burn them onto a CDR. You can use the link to find a free program to do this. By the way, you don't have to use ITunes for your IPod, it's garbage.

Maybe it's the discs that you are using they may not be compatible with mp4's so you might have 2 convert your playlist to mp3's

You've probably got a defective disc. Try another one and see if it works this time.
